My name is Caleb Fitness is my goal.
I'm 6 feet tall. Weigh 199 pounds according to my crappy bathroom scale, which makes my BMI 27. I can do 65 push ups in one go. I work a physically demanding job as a drywall taper.
My diet is pretty relaxed lately. I avoid a lot of delightful things because I have stomach troubles, and they aren't so delightful that they justify the pain, and annoyance they cause.
I am working on completing the hundred push-ups program I'm at week 6 day 2, column 3. Once completed, I plan to join the "Couch to 5 K" program. I started it but I decided since I'm so close to completing the hundred push ups program, and that last week of it is killer, that I would hold off, starting to run as it turns out is also killer.
I started this blog because a few months ago I was 220 pounds, and not liking it, never have I been over 200 pounds, though I was hovering at pretty close for awhile. My girlfriend having a baby may have caused me to creep past my own personal dread of "over 200 pounds". I kicked myself in gear, now I'm back to wear I don't feel over weight, not that I feel so in shape, but I never said I was finished. I'm going to live a healthy lifestyle, hopefully my fiance will come on board, I ask her to start some kind of program, or go for walks with me of course. If she comes or not, I won't stop myself from becoming an in shape dad, so I can play, and chase my new son all over the place.
My son is my life now, he's helped me stop bad habits, start some good habits, and kept me sane through all sorts of things and it's only been 5 months so far. There's been a ton of crazy stuff with him I won't mention it in detail just say we spent 9 days in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) in edmonton crying our eyes out being told he wasn't going to live, but that boy is as stubborn as his mama, and as strong as his daddy, and is at home doing great.
So here's my not really exciting fitness blog, I'll have Diet updates, and fitness routine updates, I'm not going to the Gym! I'm going to use my body weight, free weights, running shoes, skipping rope, and anything else I can find that works. Rain or shine, I'm gonna get into shape.
